Gynaecology
A Pelvic Gynaecological Ultrasound assess the uterus and both ovaries. It is used to detect causes of infertility and diagnose polycystic ovaries. If you have some abdominal belatedness or pain or are concerned about fibroids, the scan checks the uterus for fibroids or endometrial polyps and the ovaries for ovarian cysts.
Gynaecological Ultrasound can also be used to check fallopian tube patency avoiding the use of x-ray and giving instant results.
