Yoga with Emily
This is a Hatha Yoga Flow and Yin class for everyone; suitable for beginners new to yoga and to those who have been practising for a while.
We will work through good technique, appropriate to the individual body whilst moving through both flow sequences and static poses.
I will incorporate the somatic healing of yoga through Yin (deep stretch) poses and weave in breathwork to support the nervous system and the physical exertion of Yoga.
This Yoga class will help improve flexibility, strength and coordination but also help promote mental strength, better sleep, improved digestion and a deeper intuition into how your body works and what it needs.
No previous Yoga experience is necessary as I will offer different options, especially for more challenging poses. Each person can work at their comfortable level and those with more experience will be guided to extend their practise.
Feel free to bring your own Yoga mat and it will be useful to have a Yoga block or two if you have them, I will also provide spare equipment if not.
Thursdays 8-9pm – MEN ONLY
This is a Hatha yoga Flow and Yin class designed specifically for the male anatomy. Whilst men and women can of course Yoga ‘together’, men’s physiology is different and Yoga poses create different challenges for men.
We will work through good technique to support the body whilst moving through static poses and flow sequences. This helps to improve strength and coordination but also balance, flexibility and learning to move with fluidity.
Particular areas of focus are: hip, shoulder and chest opening. Men’s yoga can be a great support for other sports and exercise regimes. The Yin element in particular, helps to improve flexibility and ease stiff and tight muscle areas.
